PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

1. Assisting the QS Head on managing costs and ensuring value for money throughout all stages of a construction project.
2. Responsible for tendering & procurement up to final account settlement with the construction.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare accurate quantity takeoff & cost estimates for construction projects.
2. Monitor and control expenses to ensure that the project remains within the approve budget.
3. Value engineering the construction methods or materials to achieve cost savings.
4. Assist in the tender & procurement process including evaluation of bids & making recommendations of awards.
5. Assist in preparation of contract for the contractors.
6. Processing of progress billings and final account settlement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Licensed Electrical Engineer with experience in Quantity Surveying
2. Less than 2 years experience.
